**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled Costing Accountant to join our rapidly growing R&D team. As a Costing Accountant, you will be responsible for utilizing your knowledge of cost accounting and accounting information systems to prepare all necessary documentation to file an SR&ED claim on behalf of our clients.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Examine products and operations to determine which qualify for income tax incentives, the appropriate methodology to cost those activities, and the methods to maximize those incentives.
- Assist with research and correspondence with the tax authorities to address any review issues.
- Prepare all necessary technical documentation to file an SR&ED claim on behalf of our clients.
- Work with clients to help them develop their systems and know-how to assist in making future claims.
- Assess R&D expenditures, time, and activities involved within all projects.
**Requirements**
- CA, CMA, or CGA designation (or currently working toward designation).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Strong client focus and orientation towards achievement.
- Excellent teamwork skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to work with minimal supervision on multiple projects.
- Working knowledge of Taxprep and the SR&ED tax program (an asset).
