Job SummaryWe're seeking a highly skilled Senior Commissioning Engineer to join our EMEA team. As a key member of our commissioning team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the successful installation, testing, and operation of our energy storage systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to develop commissioning plans and ensure timely project delivery.
- Participate in project design reviews to provide input on commissioning requirements and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Set up system operation environments, configure EMS/HMI and enclosure-related equipment, and network devices.
- Provide resolution to field issues, track progress, and work closely with engineering and QC teams to provide on-site feedback.
- Perform BESS system commissioning, examine/inspect conditions, identify issues, and errors, and run sub-system functional tests.
- Work with PCS, Meter, and other 3rd-party equipment providers on equipment commissioning and ensure seamless integration.
- Prepare and complete commissioning scope inspection records and test reports.
- Drive projects from commission to COD, assist with managing schedules, and ensure all activities take place on or ahead of scheduled milestone dates.
- Attend and actively participate in project meetings, including contractor and subcontractor meetings.
- Participate in identifying continuous improvement opportunities in the commissioning process and detail and submit feature requests to the Product team.
- Ensure all commissioning activities adhere to safety protocols and industry standards, conduct safety reviews, and risk assessments as needed.
- Participate in the development of training materials and assist with coaching and mentoring other Commissioning Engineers.
- Review plans and reports of junior CE team members and actively support other CEs in technical troubleshooting of project-related issues.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or real-world experience in commissioning of utility-scale energy infrastructure.
- 7+ years' experience in related fields, such as utility construction, commissioning, performance testing, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with commissioning software and tools; experience with Linux and Python preferred.
