**Job Description**

We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer to join our team in Málaga, Spain. As a Senior Power BI Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing business intelligence solutions that drive data-driven decision-making.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and developing Power BI reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights for business stakeholders
  • Creating and optimizing complex data models, developing calculated columns, measures, and KPIs
  • Ensuring seamless integration of data from multiple sources
  • Working extensively with SQL databases, performing data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) tasks, and optimizing data queries to enhance Power BI performance
  • Collaborating with business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand key performance indicators (KPIs), and translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Implementing data governance and quality assurance processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability
  • Fine-tuning Power BI reports for speed and performance, utilizing best practices in DAX, data modeling, and query optimization
  • Documenting development processes and providing training and support to end-users as needed


**Required Skills and Qualifications**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 6+ years of experience in Power BI development, including expertise in data modeling, DAX, and Power Query
  • A strong background in SQL and database management, with hands-on experience in SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, or other database platforms
  • Proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and M language
  • Extensive experience with ETL processes and data integration
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and best practices
  • Analytical skills and the ability to translate business requirements into data insights
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data solutions to non-technical stakeholders
  • Power BI certification or other relevant BI or database certifications
