Job Title: Senior Power BI Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Power BI Developer with over 6 years of experience to join our dynamic team at Axiom Software Solutions.

About the Role

This role involves designing, developing, and implementing business intelligence solutions that drive data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Power BI, SQL databases, data modeling, and business intelligence best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards that offer actionable insights for business stakeholders.
  • Create and optimize complex data models, develop calculated columns, measures, and KPIs, and ensure seamless integration of data from multiple sources.
  • Work extensively with SQL databases, performing data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) tasks, and optimizing data queries to enhance Power BI performance.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand key performance indicators (KPIs), and translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Implement data governance and quality assurance processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
  • Fine-tune Power BI reports for speed and performance, utilizing best practices in DAX, data modeling, and query optimization.
  • Document development processes and provide training and support to end-users as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: 6+ years of experience in Power BI development, including expertise in data modeling, DAX, and Power Query.
  • Database Knowledge: Strong background in SQL and database management, with hands-on experience in SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, or other database platforms.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and M language.
    • Extensive experience with ETL processes and data integration.
    • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and best practices.
    • Knowledge of other BI tools and data platforms is a plus.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to translate business requirements into data insights.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Certifications: Power BI certification or other relevant BI or database certifications are a plus.
