About the Role:
AXA XL is seeking an experienced Senior Underwriter Property to join our team. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for writing new and renewal business for a range of clients across the book, working with brokers and clients to support the profitable growth of a portfolio in line with the agreed Business Plan.
Key Responsibilities:
Reviewing submissions, including policy wording, inspection reports, and financial reports, to determine the degree of risk for each account.
Calculating appropriate risk premium by considering the risk costs inherent to the sector.
Proactively advising, assisting, servicing, and following up with clients on insurance and risk management matters to ensure satisfaction and fulfillment of their insurance requirements.
Effective relationship management to initiate opportunities for cross-selling offered products and ensuring account retention.
Controlling timely implementation of new and renewed accounts according to quality standards.
Supporting the business planning and forecasting process; monitoring financial exposure within outlined limits; monitoring premium income to ensure it remains within set limits.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a UW Property role or knowledge of the Insurance/Risk industry and Property risks (fire risks, business continuity, etc.).
Strong analytical thinking and ability to perform fact and data-based analyses of situations or issues.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a team environment.
Motivation to grow professionally in a high-expertise team and work environment.
Ability to respond to a changing environment with flexibility and innovation.
