Key Responsibilities:

As a Financial Operations Specialist, you will oversee the financial closing processes for assigned business units, ensuring they are carried out consistently, accurately, and on time. You will follow established procedures and the month-end checklist to ensure seamless financial operations.

You will address queries from stakeholders in a prompt and precise manner, providing clear and concise information to facilitate decision-making.

Accurate preparation of journal entries for month-end closing is a critical responsibility, ensuring all entries are backed by sufficient documentation and stored systematically on the server.

You will conduct analytical reviews of the profit and loss statement and balance sheet to identify potential financial risks, proposing necessary journal entries to ensure all transactions are fully recorded.

Participating in activities related to transfer pricing, intercompany transactions, and vendor processing is also a key aspect of this role.

Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and prompt investigation of discrepancies or aged items are essential to ensuring financial accuracy and integrity.

Compiling monthly and quarterly financial reports to facilitate management review and analysis is a critical function of this role.

Ensuring internal controls and process improvements are implemented within your area of responsibility is also a key responsibility.

Compliance with statutory and legal obligations, as well as coordination with auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries as needed, is a critical aspect of this role.

Performing additional accounting and reporting tasks, as well as ad-hoc projects or responsibilities, is also a key function of this role.

Minimum Qualifications:
Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy / Finance or a recognised professional qualification (e.g. CPA, ACCA, etc.).

1-2 years of relevant working experience is required, with good accounting concepts and sound double entry knowledge.

A team player with strong communication skills and a good command of English is essential for this role.

Computer literacy and competence in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is also required.

Preferably with SAP system knowledge and Teradata experience.
