About the Role
The Lancet Regional Health – Europe is an Open Access journal under The Lancet's global health initiative. It focuses on improving healthcare quality and access globally. As a Senior Editor, you will work with Senior Editors and the Editor-in-Chief on journal preparation, collaborate with authors and various editorial teams, and contribute critically to the selection of journal content.
Responsibilities
- Identifying experts to act as peer reviewers on selected submissions.
- Writing editorials, organizing peer review of research articles and reviews, and conducting webinars and podcasts with authors and key opinion leaders.
- Commissioning content to build our journal's profile among the communities we serve and handling special project content as necessary.
- Developing and maintaining links with the regional health community to solicit high-quality research and thought leadership for the journal.
- Attending conferences and events, identifying suitable topics and authors, and keeping up-to-date with current developments in regional health.
Requirements
- Relevant qualifications in clinical or biomedical science, public health, global health, or related fields.
- Ability to work globally and connect with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated alignment with The Lancet's values.
- Unfailing can-do attitude.
- Natural ability to engage, influence, and build relationships with stakeholders, teams, and our community.
