Senior Editor, The Lancet Regional Health

The Lancet Regional Health – Europe is an Open Access journal under The Lancet's global health initiative. Our mission is to improve healthcare quality and access globally. As a Senior Editor, you will work closely with Senior Editors and the Editor-in-Chief on journal preparation, collaborating with authors and editorial teams to deliver high-quality content.
Responsibilities- Contribute critically to the selection of journal content, identifying experts to act as peer reviewers on selected submissions.
- Write editorials, organize peer review of research articles and reviews, and conduct webinars and podcasts with authors and key opinion leaders.
- Commission content to build our journal's profile among the communities we serve and handle special project content as necessary.
- Develop and maintain links with the regional health community to solicit high-quality research and thought leadership for the journal.
- Attend conferences and events, identifying suitable topics and authors, and staying up-to-date with current developments in regional health.
- Hold relevant qualifications in clinical or biomedical science, public health, global health, or related fields. A medical degree (MD) or a PhD and post-doc research experience in a relevant discipline is an added advantage.
- Be accustomed to diversity and working globally, with the ability to connect with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrate alignment with The Lancet's values.
