Our team enables customers to buy and sell energy commodities with confidence, offering multi-platform access to accurate data, real-time news, powerful software, and educational events.
About the Role: We are seeking a Lead Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain database architecture and code initiatives supporting internal and third-party software solutions. The successful candidate will deliver excellent products in scope and on time, meeting current and long-term business needs for the business area.
Responsibilities: As a Lead Data Engineer, you will be responsible for working with our product teams to provide timely, effective, and performant solutions. You will contribute to the design of scalable data solutions, including the development of automated pipelines. You will also implement and/or maintain database systems to ensure the availability and consistent performance of our application suite.
Requirements: We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Lead Data Engineer with a strong background in database development and engineering. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, and a minimum of 4 years of experience in database development and engineering.
Key Skills:
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
* Strong knowledge of database systems, including SQL Server and PostgreSQL
* Experience with cloud data technologies and architecture
* Familiarity with Python, PowerShell, or Power BI
* Ability to write advanced SQL code and create data models
