About the Role:

As a Europe Supplier Quality Commodity Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the best quality performance of suppliers within the supplier commodity panel; managing critical supplier issues (ensuring proper Root Cause Analysis, Corrective actions, and recovery plan implementation); and ensuring continuous supplier performance improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support commodity panel management and development of (sub-) commodity, preparing decisions to the SQC Leader and Commodity buyer(s) for selection of suppliers to commodity panel management and development in link to purchasing strategy.
- Perform assessment audits (generic and processes) of new and existing suppliers of the commodity panel and follow-up the defined actions in link to these audits as per Wabtec rules.
- Re-assessment and/or Process re-qualification at main suppliers in the panel to ensure quality standard and continuous supplier development.
- Support Product Line/Site Supplier Quality for preparation of first PPAPs at new suppliers to ensure good communication and early escalation of potential issues in link to the release of new parts.
- Support the definition and follow-up of actions for supplier development programs and the link with internal stakeholders (e.g., Engineering, Supply Chain, Purchasing).
- Prepare and support Top Offender meetings with main suppliers of assigned (sub-) commodity.
- Ensure management and support of Critical supplier issues within the commodity in cooperation with PL/Site Quality, Engineering, and Project Management.
- Ensure proper root cause analysis at suppliers.
