Supplier Quality Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team at Wabtec Corporation. As a key member of our Europe Supplier Commodity Managers Group, you will be responsible for ensuring the best quality performance of suppliers within the Forging, Casting, and Machining Commodity.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage critical supplier issues, including root cause analysis, corrective actions, and recovery plan implementation.
- Ensure continuous supplier performance improvement through assessment audits and follow-up actions.
- Support commodity panel management and development, preparing decisions for supplier selection and panel management.
- Perform re-assessment and process re-qualification at main suppliers to ensure quality standards.
- Support product line/site supplier quality for preparation of first PPAPs at new suppliers.
- Define and follow-up actions for supplier development programs and link with internal stakeholders.
- Prepare and support top offender meetings with main suppliers.
- Relevant experience in a globalized industrial environment with at least 5 years of experience in Quality.
- Knowledge of mechanical drawing, experience in machining and casting processes.
- Fluent English language skills, with additional languages a plus.
- Strong communication skills in a multicultural environment.
- Travel availability of at least 30-40% of the time, working mainly in Europe.
