Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head of Development to lead our expansion efforts in Sri Lanka, Maldives, Mauritius, and Seychelles. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing our strategic plan, identifying new business opportunities, and negotiating with internal partners to drive growth and profitability.
Main Responsibilities:
- Proactively search and analyze new business opportunities for hotels, built or under construction, in the assigned area, for incorporation into the company in the form of management, franchise, leasing, and JVC.
- Negotiate with internal partners on each project and analyze its viability.
- Key functional contact with the VP Operations by assigned zones.
- Presentation to internal partners of projects considered viable for approval and definition of next steps.
- Prioritization of projects according to the strategy set by VP Development and VP Operations based on the strategic expansion plan.
- Direct management of negotiations with owners, until closure, or support for negotiations led by VP Development.
- Preparation of necessary documentation for the approval of projects before the Expansion Committee.
- Creation of a strong network of contacts in the assigned area to promote growth in the area according to the expansion map.
- Representation of the company.
- Constant analysis of the market in the assigned area to detect potential growth markets and promote the growth of the brands based on the strategic growth plan.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in positions with high content in negotiation and closing processes.
- Working in a multinational environment, preferably in hotel or real estate companies or consultancies specialized in the hotel sector, which allows specific knowledge of key success factors for a hotel (location, economic magnitudes...).
- Degree in Law, Economics, Tourism, Hospitality, Real State, etc.
- Master/Postgraduate Degree in MBA, Finance, Masters in Tourism, Real Estate.
- Specific knowledge: Numerical, legal, operational. Negotiation and representation. Computer programs: High level Office. New technologies. Local Language. Bilingual level of English.
