We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our Regional Finance Hub team. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our accounting and controlling processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with global, country, and regional stakeholders to provide accurate cost allocation and insights, drive change, and ensure the financial integrity of production processes.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external financial regulations across multiple jurisdictions for the country/cluster in charge.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting processes, focusing on production in close collaboration with local plant controllers.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes related to cost and production accounting by proactively following up and resolving topics.
- Be an active member of the Finance communities and organizations in the Bayer Group and key contact for different Controlling areas for accounting topics with P&L impact.
Requirements
- A university degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or an equivalent qualification.
- Proven track of professional experience in Accounting, Product Costing, Financial Analysis, or similar fields.
- Proficiency in SAP FI/CO modules, with a solid understanding of interfaces with other modules.
- Strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and fluency in English (both written and spoken).
- Knowledge of an additional European language is a plus.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a Regional Finance Hub, Local Accounting team, or similar.
