About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Developer to join our team. As a Cloud Developer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying containerized applications on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). You will play a key role in modernizing our cloud-based solutions and driving the adoption of cloud-native technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and Deploy Applications on AKS
    • Design, build, and deploy containerized applications on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), ensuring scalability, security, and optimal performance.
  • Modernize Legacy Applications
    • Lead efforts to modernize existing applications by migrating them to microservices-based architectures and containerized environments.
  • Cloud-Native Application Development
    • Develop cloud-native applications using modern tools and frameworks, optimizing for Azure services and best practices.
  • Manage CI/CD Pipelines
    • Implement and maintain Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for seamless deployment and management of applications in AKS, leveraging Azure DevOps.
  • Optimize Application Performance
    • Monitor and optimize applications running in AKS to ensure high availability, low latency, and efficient resource utilization.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and Cross-Functional Teams
    • Work closely with DevOps, infrastructure, and development teams to ensure efficient application deployment, scaling, and monitoring.
  • Implement Best Practices
    • Develop and enforce best practices for containerized application development, AKS management, and application lifecycle management in a cloud environment.

Requirements

  • Kubernetes (AKS) and Containerization
    • Expertise in deploying and managing applications on Kubernetes.
  • Application Modernization
    • Experience modernizing legacy applications and migrating them to microservices-based architectures.
  • CI/CD Automation
    • Proficiency with CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, GitOps, etc. to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Cloud-Native Development
    • Experience in supporting deployment of cloud-native applications using languages and frameworks such as Java (Spring Boot), Angular.
  • Monitoring and Optimization
    • Experience using tools like Azure Monitor, ELK, Prometheus or Grafana to monitor applications in AKS, diagnose performance issues, and optimize performance.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
    • Strong experience in deploying cloud infrastructure using tools such as Bicep, YAML or ARM templates.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on Experience with Azure Resources
    • Experience with Azure resources, especially Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Azure serverless solutions.
  • Strong Understanding of Microservices Architecture
    • Strong understanding of microservices architecture and application modernization strategies.
  • Proven Track Record in Automating CI/CD Pipelines
    • Proven track record in automating CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications.
  • Experience with Cloud Monitoring and Logging Tools
    • Experience with cloud monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Tools
    • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Bicep and YAML.
