The Opportunity

Telefonica is committed to making a positive impact on our society and planet by acting responsibly along our entire value chain and providing solutions for today's societal challenges. Our sustainability team is passionate about making this happen, and we're looking for a like-minded individual to join our team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Participate in various projects related to environment and circular economy, including implementing specific projects to fill gaps in new regulation on environmental issues.
  • Define general processes and accompany internal transformation projects at local and global levels, in collaboration with other teams and companies within the Telefonica Group.
  • Support water footprint calculation, planning, and monitoring of water reduction initiatives and definition of water-related risks.
  • Conduct environmental due diligence of the value chain and environmental information reporting and assurance (CSRD).
  • Participate in Telefónica's annual corporate report of non-financial information, following CSRD requirements.
  • Internal control of non-financial information and support in auditing process.
  • Define, monitor, and assure KPIs related to sustainability.
  • Collaborate in the implementation of carbon pricing within the company and manage and reduce carbon footprint (scope 3) in collaboration with other teams.
