About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Associate Company Secretary based in our Madrid office to provide high-quality governance support to key stakeholders in Spain and across the Ebury network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist and administer statutory compliance for Ebury subsidiaries globally, including updating statutory records in Diligent company secretarial software.
  • Prepare and circulate certain subsidiary board and committee papers.
  • Arrange execution of company resolutions and associated logistics, including notary and apostille where necessary.
  • Manage share capital and group structure chart.
  • Handle KYC requests from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Administer the Diligent board system.
  • Support ad hoc strategic projects, including funding rounds, capital raises, and acquisitions.

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently, under pressure, and to tight deadlines.
  • Educational background to degree level, preferably in law.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the corporate legal sector or in a legal and company secretary team.
  • Experience in a law firm or a financial services institution is preferred.
  • Fluent spoken and written English is essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • A team player who works well with different personality types.
  • Excellent Google and MS Office knowledge, with an ability to become familiar with firm-specific programs and software.
  • Strong organisational, project management, and problem-solving skills with impeccable multi-tasking abilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, and a friendly and professional demeanour.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
