About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Surgical Equipment Sales Specialist to join our dynamic sales team at Rayner Surgical Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in promoting, demonstrating, and selling our cutting-edge Sophi Phaco machines to healthcare facilities across Spain.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Formal Training and Certification

Successfully complete a formal training and certification program in Switzerland to develop a comprehensive understanding of our surgical equipment portfolio.

Relationship Building and Business Development

Build strong relationships with key decision makers in healthcare facilities and identify new business opportunities to achieve sales targets.

Customer Education and Support

Educate customers on the features and benefits of the Sophi range of machines and provide first-line technical support to healthcare professionals, facilities, and colleagues.

Quoting and Proposal Generation

Work with internal stakeholders to prepare quotations and offerings to customers and facilitate an appropriate pricing strategy for multi-product offerings.

Pre-Sales and Clinical Evaluation

Identify cross-selling opportunities from the wider Rayner portfolio, facilitate and lead wetlabs, and demonstrate the Sophi range in the O.R. during live surgery.

After-Sales Support and Sales Reporting

Provide post-market surveillance to support MDR and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, including customer interactions, sales calls, and pipeline management.

Representative and Event Participation

Represent the company at local and international trade shows and participate in conferences and events as needed.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Proven track record in surgical equipment sales and ophthalmology sales.
  • Strong understanding of cataract surgery and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel and spend several weeks demonstrating the Sophi range in the O.R.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or marketing.
