Role of the Commercial Property Associate Underwriter
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in underwriting assigned risks.
- Foster relationships with brokers.
- Recognize cross-selling opportunities across various business lines.
- Facilitate the sales process for new products.
- Support the Front Desk Unit/Customer Service Group.
- Maintain a target list and generate submissions to achieve new business targets.
- Possess knowledge of underwriting concepts, practices, procedures, and techniques.
Qualifications:
- Relevant experience in the insurance sector, particularly in Property, Energy, or Construction.
- Preferred educational background includes an engineering degree, law degree, or a university degree in Business Administration or Economics.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
- Outgoing and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Results-oriented approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective negotiation, communication, and presentation abilities.
- Solid analytical and organizational skills.
- Confident in the use of systems and PC applications, particularly spreadsheets.
