**Job Summary:** Fundecyt-Pctex is seeking a highly skilled Senior Researcher to join our Electrical Storage department. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing corrosion and aging battery projects, cycling and SoH modelling projects, and electrochemical modelling projects.
Key Responsibilities- Manage corrosion and aging battery projects, ensuring the development of innovative solutions for energy storage systems.
- Lead cycling and SoH modelling projects, utilizing advanced techniques to optimize battery performance.
- Develop and implement electrochemical modelling projects, focusing on the improvement of battery life estimation and modelling.
- Disseminate research results through publications, presentations, and reports, highlighting the expertise of Fundecyt-Pctex in the field of energy storage.
- Provide laboratory management support, ensuring the smooth operation of our research facilities.
- **Doctoral Degree:** A Doctorate in Chemical Engineering, Chemical Sciences, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent is required.
- **Assessable Master's Degree:** An assessable master's degree in Electrochemistry or similar, Materials Corrosion, or Material Simulation is preferred.
- **Professional Experience:** A minimum of 2 years of experience in projects related to corrosion and property loss of energy storage systems, battery cycling, or battery life estimation or battery modelling is required.
- **European Project Experience:** Participation in at least 4 European projects (H2020, FP7, etc.) or equivalent private enterprise experience is essential.
- **Language Skills:** Excellent oral and written skills in English are required.
- **Cross-Cutting Competences:** Teamwork, communication skills, and a willingness to travel and stay abroad are essential.
