About the Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Global Quality Director to join our team at Expert Executive Recruiters. This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly skilled professional to lead our client's quality initiatives and drive excellence in their electric powertrain systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and elevate the company's overall quality standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Manage supplier quality and MRB activities, fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Handle customer complaints and ensure top-notch customer satisfaction, resolving issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Optimize product yield and quality throughout the production cycle, implementing process improvements and best practices.
  • Maintain and enhance the company's quality system, procedures, and audits, ensuring seamless integration with R&D and production teams.
  • Lead external and internal audits, ensuring compliance with IATF-16949 standards and other relevant regulations.
  • Oversee RMA activities, providing timely and impactful feedback to drive quality improvements.
  • Guide product development from R&D through production, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Stay current with new testing tools and strategies, developing and executing rigorous quality tests to ensure product excellence.
  • Define and implement CAPA, SCAR & 8D methodologies, driving continuous improvement and quality enhancements.
Requirements
  • Relevant higher degree (ideally Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree)
  • 10+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer/Manager in the automotive industry
  • Solid people management experience, with expertise in multidisciplinary products
  • Experience with IATF-16949 standards, preferably in collaboration with R&D teams
  • Lead auditor certification in ISO-9001 and AS-9100
  • Profound knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience leading KAIZEN events
  • Ability to create clear, concise Work Instructions and Procedures
  • Familiarity with IPC-610, J STD -001, and other PCB and PCBA related IPC standards
  • Proficiency in SPC, process control (Cp/Cpk, GR&R), and DOE techniques
  • Experience with process validation and Automotive PPAP requirements
  • Proficiency in analyzing YIELD and other KPIs
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for customer and supplier interactions
  • CQE certification and Green/Black Belt preferred
  • Willingness to travel (~ 50%)
  • Fluency in English
