Director, Internal Communications

About the Role:

Berry Global is seeking a highly skilled Director of Internal Communications to join our team. As a key member of our corporate communications team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a global internal communication strategy that connects, informs, and inspires our employees around the world.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deploy a global internal communication strategy that supports the organization's global strategic priorities and programs.
  • Write, edit, and deliver impactful communications through newsletters, emails, intranet updates, social media, and more.
  • Manage and enhance the company's intranet on platforms like SharePoint and internal TV screens, ensuring both aesthetic appeal and functional effectiveness.
  • Oversee global social media channels, coordinating the publication of communications to foster employee engagement and alignment with corporate messaging.
  • Create presentations and corporate materials aligned with Berry branding to effectively convey key information, narrate engaging corporate stories, and strengthen our brand identity.
  • Foster strong relationships with functional departments to develop clear, consistent, and creative communications segmented by target audience, driving strategic business objectives.

Requirements:

  • BS/BA with Master's preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive communications experience.
  • Exceptional writing skills with a focus on effective storytelling and presentation.
  • Proven experience managing and updating company intranets.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities, capable of prioritizing multiple complex projects.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through skills.
  • Experience working in large corporate environments with virtual, cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive); familiarity with internal communication measurement platforms is a plus.
  • Experience with leveraging LinkedIn as a communication platform.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Demonstrated capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
