About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled System Function Engineer to join our team at Bertrandt. As a key member of our Powertrain department, you will be responsible for designing and validating system architectures, translating system requirements into functional specifications, and managing software function development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and validation of system architectures within the internal client process
  • Translation of system requirements into SW functional requirements and functional specifications for components
  • Preparation of SCDR files for review with the SW Architect
  • Design of generic validation plans for functions
  • Management of SW function development and assurance of technical convergencies
  • Development of control systems and functional design of embedded systems
Requirements
  • Electronic/industrial engineering or similar degree
  • Previous experience in automotive, particularly in engine systems engineering (minimum 2-3 years)
  • Experience with ETAS modules and INCA tools
  • Understanding of Powertrain Standards, diagnostics tools, and functional safety
  • Knowledge of automotive embedded SW methods and architectures, such as AUTOSAR, MBSE, CAN/LIN protocols
  • Good level of English and French language skills
  • Knowledge of processes and tools, including DOORS
