Job Summary:
Mentor Technical Group is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our EHS Department, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate and prepare reports on EHS system performance, including investigation reports, injury reports, and performance metric reports.
- Ensure a safe work environment by taking necessary steps to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Participate in the investigation of incidents, near misses, and property damage incidents.
- Conduct safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and company policies.
- Maintain internal and regulatory reporting, including data collection and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with permits, government regulations, and industry practices.
- Stay up-to-date on safety and environmental law or regulation changes that impact the company.
- Participate in manufacturing meetings to discuss workplace safety and regulatory concerns.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with Operations, Managers, Supervisors, and employees.
- Assist in the oversight of the Worker's Compensation program.
- Promote excellent relationships with clients and demonstrate professional conduct at all times.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or Social Science related field.
- Physical Requirements: ability to lift and/or move up to 25-35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
