We are in search of a seasoned Energy Market Consultant to spearhead our energy initiatives and guarantee the robustness of our energy supply.

This position demands extensive expertise in energy markets, grid forecasts, and market incentives, alongside the capability to devise and execute strategies that bolster our energy autonomy and reliability.

The ideal candidate will excel in navigating the intricate energy landscape and will be instrumental in securing sustainable energy solutions for our enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Energy Development:

  • Formulate and execute a holistic energy strategy that aligns with the organization's objectives for resilience, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Perform comprehensive analyses of energy markets, grid forecasts, and regulatory frameworks to guide strategic choices.
  • Identify and utilize market incentives, grants, and subsidies to facilitate the transition to more resilient and sustainable energy models.

Energy Acquisition and Contract Oversight:

  • Assist in the sourcing and procurement of energy resources, emphasizing reliability and sustainability.
  • Participate in negotiating and managing energy agreements, ensuring they fulfill organizational requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Foster strong relationships with energy providers, renewable energy developers, and other critical stakeholders.

Resilience and Risk Mitigation:

  • Evaluate and mitigate risks linked to energy supply interruptions and market fluctuations.
  • Develop and implement resilience strategies, including the adoption of renewable energy sources, energy storage, and backup power solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that energy resilience strategies are integrated with broader business continuity initiatives.

Regulatory Compliance and Advocacy:

  • Monitor and interpret energy regulations, policies, and compliance obligations at all levels.
  • Advocate for policy modifications that support the organization's energy and resilience objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory and reporting obligations related to energy procurement and utilization.

Innovation and Sustainability Leadership:

  • Lead efforts to integrate innovative technologies and practices that enhance energy efficiency and sustainability.
  • Foster a culture of sustainability within the organization, promoting practices that minimize our carbon footprint.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends and technologies in the energy sector to keep the organization at the forefront.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:

  • Articulate the organization's energy strategy and accomplishments to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management regarding energy performance, risks, and opportunities.
  • Engage with industry associations, regulatory agencies, and other organizations to remain informed and influence the energy landscape.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Energy Management, Engineering, or a related discipline. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience in energy markets and resilience planning.
  • Strong comprehension of energy market dynamics, grid operations, and regulatory environments.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing energy strategies and resilience plans.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Professional certification in energy management.
  • Experience with renewable energy initiatives, energy storage solutions, and smart grid technologies.
  • Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks and standards.
