Job Description

As the Engineering Director for Power and Renewables, you will be responsible for leading the engineering efforts for the Power & Renewables team in Europe. This includes direct leadership of the Power & Renewables European Engineering Organization to maintain core engineering competencies and indirect responsibility for managing the Center of Excellence Cluj team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Engineering Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Power & Renewables engineering team to drive business growth and improve engineering capabilities.
  2. Collaboration and Partnership: Collaborate with other Centers of Excellence to ensure that we can position competitive solutions in all sectors of the Power & Renewables industry.
  3. Operational Management: Support Regional Operations Directors and country organizations to build engineering expertise and improve project delivery.
  4. Business Development: Support Sales and Proposals to drive competitive displacement projects and new initiatives through strong engineering expertise.
  5. Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support to Westinghouse Europe and focus on KOB3 initiatives.
Requirements
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a technical field.
  2. Industry Experience: Demonstrated experience in the automation industry with broad technical knowledge of Power and Renewables industry segments.
  3. Operational Management: Proven experience in operational management roles.
  4. Language Skills: Proficiency in English for interacting in daily written and verbal communication.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Ability to collaborate within a team environment within a sophisticated matrix organization.
  • Language Skills: A third European language is considered a plus.
