About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Director of Quality Assurance to lead our QA strategy and team at Appspace. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the quality and performance of our software product suite.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive QA strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a distributed team of QA professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Highest Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality of our SaaS product suite by implementing rigorous testing and QA methodologies. Monitor and enforce quality assurance standards across all development stages.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve QA processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Test Strategy and Execution: Oversee the creation and execution of test plans, test cases, and test scripts for both manual and automated testing.
  • Automation Strategy & Management: Strategically manage and collaborate with automation vendors to develop, implement, and maintain advanced automation frameworks and solutions.
  • Quality Metrics and Reporting: Define and track quality metrics, providing regular reports to senior management on the status of QA activities and product quality.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with product management, development, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of QA processes and timely delivery of high-quality software.
  • Risk Management: Identify, analyze, and mitigate risks associated with software quality and product releases.
  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure that QA practices adhere to industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Customer Focus: Advocate for the end user, ensuring that our products deliver a superior user experience and meet customer expectations.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in QA, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Skills: Proven experience in QA for SaaS products, strong background in both manual and automated testing, experience managing and scaling distributed/global QA teams, and strong people management, interpersonal, and team building skills.
