Job Title: Engineering Manager - Platform Lead

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Platform Engineering team. As a Platform Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and operation of our tools and processes, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our deployment pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of Platform engineers, ensuring they meet and exceed company expectations.
  • Plan and organize team's work, ensuring deadlines are met and projects are accomplished.
  • Define and implement DevOps best practices and strategies, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Represent the team, providing advice and knowledge for planning critical changes and migrations.
  • Support engineering teams in becoming high-performing, autonomous teams.
Requirements:
  • Experience in Platform engineering/DevOps, leading teams or in a similar management role.
  • Demonstrated experience in DevOps culture and methodologies, with a passion for teaching others.
  • Understanding of systems at a whole-picture level, with the ability to explain and support technical decisions.
  • Experience working with Kubernetes on high-load systems, with knowledge of Service Mesh, OpenPolicy agents, and observability tooling.
  • Knowledge of public and private clouds, including Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure, and OpenStack.
