Job Title: Engineering Manager

As an Engineering Manager at TomTom, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and applied scientists to develop cutting-edge location-based technologies and applications. Your primary goal will be to drive business impact and develop top talent within your team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage one or two engineering teams, directly or indirectly via other Engineering Managers
  • Provide technical guidance and expertise to your team, including software and technology expertise
  • Set guidelines for all developers in your department, aligning with peers, industry, and tech leads
  • Identify growth opportunities and empower team members to take ownership and coaching them to success
  • Define a team topology and staffing plan that sets the team up for success
Requirements:
  • Experience in Map making, Machine Learning, Computer vision, Sensor data processing and calibration, 3D data processing, SLAM, SfM, graph optimization
  • Understanding of AI and experience owning a team with a mix of Applied Scientists and Engineers
  • Highly empathetic, excellent communicator, and true role model for leadership inputs and principles
  • Sufficient technical skills from your background in software development
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle
