Kennametal, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Procurement Specialist to join our Global Sourcing team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating and executing the sourcing strategy for Facility Services and Utilities expenses.
Key Responsibilities- Category Management: Develop and implement a comprehensive category management strategy to achieve Kennametal's objectives in terms of Delivery, Quality, and Cost.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery, high-quality products, and cost-effective solutions.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market analysis to stay up-to-date on market trends, new technologies, and potential evolutions within the assigned commodity.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities and develop strategies to optimize procurement costs.
- Project Management: Design, plan, and manage projects to deliver value-added solutions within defined time and cost parameters.
- Experience: At least 3 years of relevant working experience in strategic procurement and/or category management.
- Language Skills: Excellent English and German communication skills; other languages will be an asset.
- Education: Bachelor and/or master within a relevant field of study (Business, Supply Chain, Engineering).
- Skills: Strong negotiation skills, business acumen, and ability to set priorities and establish strategic direction.
