Role Overview:
As a Lead Procurement Specialist, you will execute the global sourcing strategy, ensuring the reliable availability and superior service levels of essential materials. Your role will focus on maintaining consistent quality at competitive pricing, facilitating efficient fragrance production.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing Development: Formulate and execute sourcing strategies that align with business objectives, utilizing Category Management principles.
Material Acquisition: Function as the primary buyer for raw materials, guaranteeing the quality and availability necessary to meet production demands.
Process Improvement Initiatives: Lead projects aimed at enhancing procurement processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency and cost reduction.
Supplier Engagement: Cultivate and sustain robust relationships with suppliers, emphasizing local sourcing to promote sustainability and cost-effectiveness. Negotiate contracts and terms effectively.
Risk Management Strategy: Design and implement risk management frameworks for subsidiaries, focusing on both local and global agreements.
Analytical Reporting: Generate and present regular reports on procurement activities, conducting analyses to support strategic decision-making and monitoring market trends for informed sourcing planning.
Commodity Trend Analysis: Monitor global commodity trends to anticipate shifts and adjust sourcing strategies accordingly.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, or Commerce. Advanced studies or certifications in Strategic Procurement or Supply Chain Management are advantageous.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a purchasing role within the Fragrance & Flavor industry, Pharmaceuticals, or Chemicals.
- Proficient in Office 365, Excel, and SAP (MM modules).
- Willingness to travel as required.
