Mechanical Design Engineer for Power Transformers

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Hitachi Energy Spain, S.A.U. in Córdoba, Spain. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing power transformers that meet customer specifications and international standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop power transformers using 3D CAD software, such as Creo or similar.
- Calculate and prepare drawings for manufacturing, ensuring quality and reliability.
- Work closely with customers, sales, project management, and electrical design department to develop optimal technical solutions.
- Perform calculations on transformer parts, considering static forces, dynamic forces, electromagnetic behavior, temperatures, and environmental conditions.
- Assist the workshop during manufacturing and participate in tender and quotation processes.
- Prepare specifications, technical reports, and related documents.
- Support and facilitate technical collaboration with customers and internal teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- First experience of 1-2 years working with designs and CAD models.
- Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
- Strong skills in Creo software and Autocad, with experience in 3D analysis packages a plus.
- Self-motivation, structured approach to work, and good interpersonal and communication skills.
