About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Animator to join our Monopoly Go team at Scopely. As an Animator, you will be responsible for creating captivating animations that enhance the player experience.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Animation Creation: Develop high-quality animatics, transitions, 2D and 3D animations, and VFX to bring the game to life.
  2. Collaboration: Work closely with Tech Artists, UI artists, UX designers, and Engineers to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.
  3. Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to the animation team to ensure efficient production and implementation of high-quality animation.
  4. Feedback and Review: Offer constructive feedback on animation created by internal artists and external co-developers or outsourcers.
  5. Team Participation: Participate actively in team art discussions, critiques, and reviews to maintain high standards.
  6. Project Management: Work with production to ensure timely completion of animation tasks and meet project deadlines.
Requirements
  1. Expertise: Possess expert hand-key animation skills and a clear understanding of animation fundamentals.
  2. Experience: Have 3+ years of professional experience creating animations for games.
  3. Technical Skills: Be proficient in real-time particle and VFX-based animations, and have experience with technical implementation of animations in UI and feature development in Unity.
  4. Soft Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication, collaboration, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  5. Portfolio: Showcase an online portfolio demonstrating animation art skills and technical art skills such as rigging, VFX, etc.
  6. Additional Skills: Possess some experience in giving feedback and mentoring, and have proficiency in drawing, texturing, and modeling.
