Your Role and Responsibilities
The Inventory Management Specialist is responsible for overseeing the efficient management of company assets, ensuring they are accurately tracked, properly maintained, and accessible when needed. This role involves organizing, monitoring, and auditing assets to support the organization's operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Asset Tracking and Inventory Management:
- Record and track all company assets using asset management software.
- Perform regular audits to ensure accurate inventory counts and correct asset details.
- Monitor asset conditions and coordinate maintenance or replacements as necessary.
- Asset Deployment and Retrieval:
- Coordinate the deployment, setup, and retrieval of assets for internal departments and projects.
- Maintain records of asset assignments and oversee the return process.
- Data Entry and Documentation:
- Enter and update asset information, including purchase dates, warranty information, and location.
- Ensure proper documentation is maintained for each asset, including manuals, maintenance records, and depreciation schedules.
- Create and update asset reports as needed for compliance, audits, and internal reporting.
- Maintenance and Repairs Coordination:
- Work with external vendors and internal teams to schedule and track maintenance and repairs.
- Ensure assets are regularly inspected and maintained to minimize downtime and extend asset life.
- Manage warranties and service agreements to optimize repair costs and asset functionality.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Track asset-related certifications, licenses, and inspections as needed.
