Role Overview

X-ELIO, a leading global renewable energy company, is seeking a highly skilled Sr Energy Markets Analyst to join its team. As a key member of the Energy Markets department, you will leverage market expertise and data analysis to drive strategic decisions and ensure market stability across X-ELIO's European operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Expertise for Strategic Alignment: Drawing on a solid understanding of energy market fundamentals, including commodity price evolution and renewable energy penetration, to support various lines of business at X-ELIO.
  • Advanced Data Analytics for Insightful Strategies: Conducting high-quality quantitative analysis using advanced Python or R software to identify market patterns and trends, translating findings into strategic positioning for the company.
  • Proactive Regulatory Monitoring for Informed Decisions: Monitoring key market regulatory bodies and energy policy developments to identify potential impacts on market infrastructure, providing continuous updates to senior management and board members.
  • Comprehensive Market Intelligence for Informed Decisions: Developing and maintaining market data, analysis, and presentations to convey key findings to stakeholders and facilitate data-driven decision-making processes.
  • Ensuring Market Stability and Reliability: Providing reliability and stability in market price levels across different European markets, with a focus on optimizing investment projects in storage and solar energy.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in energy market analysis (mainly European ones), including a deep understanding of market fundamentals, data analysis skills, and familiarity with regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience managing data in programming languages such as Python or R.
  • Advanced level of English and Spanish.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey findings effectively to stakeholders.
