About The RoleDNV's Market & Transaction team is looking for a Senior Consultant specialized in electricity markets. DNV is undergoing a strong expansion in power price forecasting throughout Europe and is looking to reinforce its current Advisory team with headquarters in Madrid. The candidate will be integrated with a young and high-powered team that has a clear mandate to grow in terms of market coverage and scope of work. The position will be based in Madrid, Spain.
Responsibilities- Conduct Electricity Market Analysis: Analyze electricity market trends and conduct comprehensive energy market studies, including expansion plans and commodities analysis.
- Perform scenario analysis (climate impact, electric vehicle adoption, distributed generation, and self-consumption), and stay updated on regulatory changes and technological advancements.
- Serve as a Trusted Advisor: Understand clients' business objectives, challenges, and opportunities within the energy sector, particularly in energy markets and low carbon technology studies.
- Provide insights and guidance to help clients navigate the complexities of the energy landscape, especially in the electricity markets space (wholesale markets, capacity markets, ancillary service markets).
- Collaborate with the Modeling & Analytics Team: Work closely with the modeling team to structure ad-hoc electricity market problems into quantifiable analyses and deliver integrated solutions that address clients' strategic and operational needs.
- Lead Client Engagements: Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction and repeat business opportunities. Lead client engagements with a focus on delivering exceptional value and fostering long-term partnerships.
