About the Role

Siemens Energy is seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager and Project Coordinator to join our Data & Advanced Analytics organization. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving the energy transformation by coordinating our portfolio management activities and ensuring alignment with global/corporate PMO standards, processes, and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and manage portfolio management and delivery processes and tools to support a consistent methodology for all projects and activities.
  • Ensure effective project and portfolio decision support through design and provision of appropriate reports and reporting cadence to governance boards, the leadership team, project managers, and business owners.
  • Support executive reporting, including board read-outs, Key Performance Indicators, project health and status, inclusive of financials and resource utilization.
  • Monitor, plan, and execute progress of delivery activities, and actively work to resolve any plan variances and provide accurate and timely communication to all pertinent customers.
  • Identify and implement processes/services to manage expectations of key stakeholders and vendors partners.
  • Synthesize key insights, highlighting gaps, identifying difficulties, and understanding opportunity for value while tracking milestones and deliverables across the team.
  • Support other portfolio managers from different teams in providing consistent delivery and portfolio governance across the Data & Advanced Analytics organization.
  • Occasionally expected to manage task forces.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in supporting and managing projects/programmes/portfolios.
  • Excellent understanding of portfolio and project management methodologies, tools, and techniques in waterfall, lean, and agile environments, with experience in the use of project management and collaboration software, e.g., Smartsheet/MS Project/JIRA/Trello/Service Now.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement at all levels of the organization, with experience in influencing direction and driving outcomes.
  • Excellent communications and engagement, with awareness and experience in different types of medium and methods to capture and sustain attention and participation.
  • Experience in developing and delivering learning and capability strategy and approach.
  • Experience and working knowledge (5-10 years) with Digital initiatives, Data Analytics projects, or Software Development within a large, multi-national organization.
  • Substantial experience of establishing program management frameworks within large, complex, global organizations.
