Cytometry Expert for Leukaemia Research

Your mission is to support the Josep Carreras Leukaemia Research Institute in conducting cutting-edge research and driving innovation in the field of leukaemia and other haematologic malignancies. Located within the Can Ruti Biomedical Campus, the Institute offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with leading researchers and gain hands-on experience in state-of-the-art cytometry equipment.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support for ongoing cytometry and cell sorting equipment, ensuring the smooth operation of our facility. Your primary role will involve monitoring the performance of flow cytometry equipment, acquiring samples using flow cytometry and cell sorting equipment, and assisting researchers in resolving technical issues related to sample acquisition.
You will also be responsible for turning on, shutting down, and performing basic maintenance of flow cytometry and cell sorting equipment, as well as providing technical training on the use and best practices of flow cytometry equipment to researchers. In addition, you will handle biological samples for cell sorting and manage the scheduling of flow cytometry equipment.
We are seeking a highly motivated, organized, and proactive candidate with strong technical skills and a collaborative attitude. The ideal candidate will possess an FP-2 qualification in the field of health sciences, previous experience in preparing samples for flow cytometry, operating flow cytometry equipment, and experience with cell cultures and functional assays. A positive attitude and ability to resolve conflicts are essential for this role.
- A full-time contract with a salary commensurate with qualifications, estimated at around €25,000 - €35,000 per year, depending on experience.
