Your Mission as an HSE Engineer
As a key member of our team, your mission is to ensure that our safety, health, and environmental standards meet and exceed regulatory requirements. You will play a vital role in shaping and enforcing HSE policies, driving continuous improvement in safety practices, and maintaining a culture of safety across all levels of the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide HSE orientation to employees and visitors
  • Conduct monthly HSE communication sessions
  • Prepare compliance and activity reports for operational management
  • Inform management of new or conflicting legislative matters impacting the facility
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement effective HSE policies, guidelines, and procedures
  • Support departmental managers and supervisors in all aspects of safety and environmental issues
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain necessary records
  • Perform regular HSE audits and coordinate company-wide HSE initiatives (ISO, 14001, OHSAS 18001)
  • Investigate accidents, report findings, and implement lessons learned
  • Train employees on safety policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Ensure the implementation of emergency response systems, safety meetings, and drills
  • Manage safety statistics reporting and track HSE performance
  • Oversee the maintenance and inspection of company vehicles and safety equipment
  • Maintain medical, vaccination, and PPE records, liaising with HR as needed
  • Attend client HSE meetings and represent the company in external audits

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Petroleum Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of HSE experience, preferably in oil and gas operations
  • Proficient in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OSHA 18001 standards
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently with a strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office, hazard analysis, risk assessment, and internal auditing
  • NEBOSH certification and first aid training are highly preferred
  • Advanced customer focus and teamwork
  • Proficient accountability and communication skills
  • Proficient in leading and developing people, strategic thinking, and results orientation
  • Proficient knowledge of facility and equipment maintenance, with a developing understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering

Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000-$110,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include comprehensive health insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
