Refrigeration Specialist Job Description

Amazon is seeking a highly skilled Refrigeration Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team, you will be responsible for providing expert support and guidance to drive safety, performance, and maintenance of refrigeration systems across a portfolio of sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Remote Monitoring: Utilize advanced monitoring tools and software platforms to remotely monitor the performance and operational parameters of industrial refrigeration systems across multiple sites.
  • Alarm Management: Respond promptly to system alarms and alerts, investigating the root cause of any deviations from normal operating conditions.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze data collected from monitoring systems to identify trends, anomalies, and potential issues with refrigeration system performance.
  • Maintenance Coordination: Work closely with the teams Scheduler and on-site RME personnel to schedule preventive maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs for industrial refrigeration systems.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Utilize APM and maintain accurate records of system performance, maintenance activities, F-Gas logs, and troubleshooting efforts.
Requirements:
  • Significant experience in industrial refrigeration systems, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong knowledge of refrigeration principles, equipment, and components.
  • Familiarity with remote monitoring tools and systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Commitment to safety and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration Engineering, or related field.
  • Food Safety Qualifications.
