Research Chemist

About the Role

You will conduct original research aimed at the design and synthesis of novel, biologically active compounds in hit discovery, hit-to-lead and lead optimization programs. As part of a team, you will need to plan work objectives and contribute to guide and supervise some chemistry technicians. Excellent communication and leadership skills, a strong customer focus and an ability to work well in a team setting are required.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct original research in synthetic chemistry, focusing on novel compound synthesis and biologically active compounds.
• Plan and contribute to guide work objectives, ensuring the team meets its targets and deadlines.
• Supervise and guide chemistry technicians, providing guidance and support when needed.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and clients, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• PhD in Organic Chemistry or related field.
• Strong background and proven experience in Heterocyclic and Parallel Synthesis (both, in solution and on solid phase).
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work well in a team setting and adapt to changing priorities.
