About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated graduate to join our team as a Product Mechanical Engineer within the Operations department. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in the development and launch of new products.

Key Responsibilities
  • New Product Generation
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop new products, ensuring manufacturability, serviceability, and cost-effectiveness.
    • Provide design for manufacturing and serviceability feedback to the Research and Development team.
    • Specify, design, and qualify manufacturing equipment, tooling, tests, and processes to guarantee industrialization.
  • New Product Launch
    • Ensure the successful launch of new products by guaranteeing the readiness of manufacturing equipment, tooling, test, and processes.
    • Follow up on manufacturing metrics to correct deviations and achieve manufacturing stability.
    • Transfer product design and manufacturing processes knowledge to engineering teams at manufacturing partners and HP teams supporting production.
  • Cost Reduction
    • Review existing product designs to reduce parts and manufacturing costs by identifying opportunities and developing proposals.
    • Evaluate the technical feasibility of cost reduction proposals.
    • Recommend projects to management where they are technically and financially sound.
    • Manage the execution of projects through partners.
  • Current Products Engineering Responsibility
    • Identify and solve the causes of product quality and reliability problems by conducting failure analyses on products, materials, and components.
    • Work with partners to identify and design solutions.
    • Collaborate with the Customer Assurance team to effectively capture customer issues and drive their resolution.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Skills and Critical Competences
    • Solid technical background in mechanical engineering and manufacturing processes.
