The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work within our busy Neurodevelopmental Assessment Team, conducting comprehensive specialist assessments for families and adults.

You will be working with individuals referred for autism and/or ADHD assessments via HSE/NHS Patient choice and their GP.

The role requires conducting diagnostic assessments using established tools, such as the ADOS-2/ADI-R, and assessing mental health conditions as needed.

You will also be responsible for writing up assessment reports in a timely and professional manner, providing recommendations and interventions.

In addition, you may be involved in supervising and supporting junior staff members depending on your experience.

Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you must be a CORU/HCP registered Practitioner Psychologist, eligible to work in the UK.

You will need experience in conducting diagnostic neurodevelopmental/specialist developmental assessments with children and young people, as well as experience working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders or mental health difficulties in a clinical setting.

You should be familiar with DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and appropriate assessment tools for autism and ADHD.

Possession of ADOS-2/ADI-R training is highly desirable, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, and experience in report writing and record keeping.

Salary and Benefits

This permanent role comes with a salary range of £55,000 - £110,000 per annum, dependent on experience, and offers a hybrid/remote working arrangement.

Multiple roles are available, both remote and hybrid, to attract candidates with differing levels of experience and geographical locations.

For hybrid roles, travel to one of our locations in Harrogate, Huddersfield, Exeter, or Norwich may be required.
