Culinary Assistant

Our team members are the backbone of our success, and we are seeking a talented Commis Cook to join our pre-opening team at the Four Seasons Resort Mallorca at Formentor.

The Commis Cook is a key member of our Food and Beverage team, responsible for preparing high-quality dishes for our guests. This role requires attention to detail, excellent teamwork skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Commis Cook, you will be responsible for preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner for our guests, as well as maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen.

• Prepare food items of consistent quality according to guest orders, following recipe, production, portion, and presentation standards.
• Operate, maintain, and properly clean kitchen equipment, including food processors, mixers, and ovens.
• Maintain a clean and efficient station, ensuring a safe and sanitary work environment.
• Label and date all food containers and rotate as per policies.
• Determine necessary preparation, freezer pull, and line set up.
• Return all food items not used to designated storage areas.
• Manage and prioritize tasks by shift.

We are seeking a candidate with a trade apprenticeship or other form of registered training in the culinary discipline. A minimum of two years of culinary experience in a luxury restaurant or similar is required. Basic knowledge of kitchen tools and culinary operations is essential. The ability to lift up to 30Kg and continuous standing for up to 8 hours per shift is also required. Fluency in reading, writing, and spoken English and Spanish is necessary. The successful candidate must have the legal right to work in Spain and have fluency in English and Spanish.
