Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Finance Director to lead our renewable energy finance team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy, overseeing financial operations, and ensuring the financial health of our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement financial strategies in alignment with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with Senior Management: Formulate long-term financial plans, including capital allocation, risk management, and investment strategies.
- Financial Forecasting and Budgeting: Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Capital Management and Investor Relations: Manage the capital structure of the company, optimizing debt and equity financing to support growth and project development.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis: Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, both internally and externally, in compliance with relevant regulations and accounting standards.
- Risk Management and Compliance: Implement robust risk management strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks associated with operations.
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
- Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate with key stakeholders, including project development teams, legal advisors, and external financial partners, to support the successful execution of renewable energy projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience as a Finance Director or in a senior finance leadership role within the renewable energy, infrastructure, or related sectors.
- Strong understanding of renewable energy project finance, asset management, and the IPP business model.
- Exceptional financial modeling, analysis, and strategic planning skills.
- Demonstrated track record in successfully managing investor relations and fundraising efforts.
- Proficiency in financial reporting, compliance, and regulatory matters.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to drive financial initiatives that align with business objectives.
- Sound judgment, high ethical standards, and a commitment to sustainability and responsible investment practices.
- Fluency in English and Spanish and proficiency in other relevant languages (Italian, Portuguese) is a plus.
