Job Description
We are seeking a Chief Business Development Officer - Container Sales to join our team at one of our esteemed clients, a leading global container liner company.
Main Responsibilities:
- To develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new customer bases.
- Achieve close support levels with clients through regular communication, site visits, and entertainment to secure business.
- Responsible for business growth across allotted trade lanes.
- Develop new clientele through referrals, personal networks, and company connections.
- To be fully accountable for meeting individual key performance indicators and targets.
- Achieve assigned TEU & Revenue targets per vessel.
- Suggest improvements to increase overall revenue and profitability in the assigned sector.
- Submit regular reports on sales activities, performance, and plans via the CRM system.
- Prepare advanced forecasts and collect accurate market intelligence.
- Ensure strict credit control, timely payment collection, and minimize outstanding balances.
- Maintain close coordination with all departments to address customer complaints, resolve issues, and uphold service commitments.
- Ensure customers are informed about shipment whereabouts.
