This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Formulation Technician at Sin nombre. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for formulating and optimizing our products to meet the highest standards of quality and nutritional value.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize product formulations to ensure they meet our quality and nutritional standards.
- Collaborate with our purchasing team to source high-quality ingredients and negotiate prices.
- Work closely with our new product development team to develop new products and reformulate existing ones.
- Conduct nutritional profile maintenance and reformulation to adapt to changing ingredient availability and trends.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement stretch opportunities.
- Develop and maintain budgets for formulation and product development.
- Assist and advise our new product development team on formulation tasks and studies.
- Collaborate with our purchasing team to identify and source new ingredients.
- Investigate and resolve finished product nutritional deviations.
- Develop and maintain ingredient specifications and nutritional profiles.
Requirements
- University degree in a relevant field such as food science or nutrition.
- 1-4 years of experience in the food or pet food industry.
