Network Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Optimization Specialist to join our team at Reconocida empresa. As a key member of our Professional Services team, you will play a critical role in driving optimization, technology design, implementation, and execution for projects/accounts to accelerate customer business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with Customers and Internal/External Resources: Work with customers, internal teams, and external partners (e.g., Cisco account teams, partners) to optimize and deploy Cisco services and solutions.
- Implement Task/Project Plans: Assist with task/project implementation for assigned customer engagements, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
- Develop and Review Project Work: Jointly craft and review project work, including design recommendations, high-level designs, low-level designs, and implementation/change management plans.
- Resolve Complex Issues: Build and/or use test environments to resolve medium-sophisticated problems and compatibility issues, ensuring seamless customer experience.
- Configure and Deploy Cisco Products: Understand how software skills and tools can be used to configure, deploy, and seek Cisco products and solutions.
- Initial Problem Resolution: Act as the initial focal point for problem resolution for customer engagements, providing timely and effective support.
- Business Travel: Post-COVID-19 travel restrictions, this role may require 0-15% business travel.
You will be part of our CX team, a group of outstanding technical guides dedicated to delivering a world-class customer experience. We help tackle the toughest business challenges with network-centric solutions that accelerate customer and partner success and dedication.
Requirements- Education and Experience: Typically requires a BE/B.Tech/BSC Computer Science or equivalent 4+ years of substantial work experience. A sophisticated degree is strongly preferred.
- Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of at least one customer vertical/IT industry is required.
- Cisco Certifications: CCNA is a must, CCNP/CCIE certification would be a plus.
- Network Automation Skills: Network automation skills (Python/Ansible/GoLang/Splunk) are preferred.
- Routing and Switching Expertise: Expertise in routing and switching technologies, including IGP, OSPF, EGP, BGP, STP, RSTP, VTP, VSS, vPC, vDC, MSTP, LACP, VLAN, is required.
- Knowledge of New Technologies: Knowledge of new technologies like SDA/SDWAN is preferred.
- Datacenter Knowledge: Knowledge of data center, cloud, and virtualization industry, ACI, Nexus products is required.
- Virtualization Experience: Experience with virtualization (OpenStack/VMware vSphere/Microsoft Hyper V/Red Hat KVM/Linux Containers) is required.
- LAN Switching Technologies: Experienced knowledge on LAN switching technologies, including STP, RSTP, VTP, VSS, vPC, vDC, MSTP, LACP, VLAN, VXLAN-EVPN, is required.
- Cisco Switching Platforms: Knowledge of Cisco switching platforms, including Cat 6500, 6800, 4500, 3850, Nexus 7K, Nexus 6k, Nexus 5k, Nexus 3K, and Nexus 9k, is required.
- Nexus Switches and UCS Products: Knowledge of Nexus switches and UCS products, Python or other programming languages, is helpful.
