About the Role:The Key Account Manager Europe plays a pivotal role in driving negotiations and achieving revenue targets at the European level. This involves developing an overall account strategy, collaborating with various countries and regions, including corporate accounts teams, to create local strategies.
This key position requires building relationships at the senior level within client accounts, primarily in the food manufacturing and contract testing sectors. The Manager will not have direct reports but must effectively manage complex business arrangements without authority.
- Develop Annual Sales Plan: Create a comprehensive sales plan for assigned customers based on the overall strategy, maintaining an opportunity pipeline.
- Achieve Sales Targets: Achieve sales targets through organic growth, increasing market share, or launching new products.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate key account activities across partners.
- Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate pricing and contract terms with customers, serving as the primary executive interface.
- Account Monitoring: Monitor changes in account sales and service levels.
- Contract Launches and Renewals: Coordinate with internal departments and authorized distributors for contract launches and renewals.
- Business Relationship Management: Manage key business relationships and explore new business opportunities.
- Distribution and Inventory Strategies: Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Operations to develop distribution and inventory strategies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Proven experience in leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing without authority.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data and metrics.
- Experience managing large accounts, geographies, and markets.
- Ability to build internal relationships and leverage company resources.
- Decisive, professional, and passionate about the role.
- Understanding of microbiological laboratory processes, regulations in the Food industry, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time.
