Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Operations Specialist - Emergency Response to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operational logistics setup for emergency missions, guaranteeing respect for general humanitarian policies, and maintaining high-quality standards in accordance with OCBA's medical, logistical, financial, human resource, and communication policies.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To ensure a seamless operational logistics set up, following up and eventually closing of emergency missions for OCBA.
  • To guarantee the respect of the general humanitarian policy of OCBA.
  • To ensure the highest possible quality standard of the intervention in accordance with the medical, logistic, financial, human resource, and communication policies of OCBA.
  • To propose logistical deployment plans for interventions within the scope of the organization's capacity.
  • To support the Emergency Coordinator (HoM) in the elaboration and implementation of security guidelines in the country of intervention.
  • To guarantee appropriate living conditions are implemented to ensure the physical and mental well-being of the emergency team.
  • To guarantee the capitalization of logistical field experience.
  • To contribute to developing expertise at OCBA.
  • To conduct support activities at HQ level when required.

Specific Activities:

  • Preparedness and conduction of exploratory missions for MSF OCBA.
  • Planning and implementing logistics technical activities in emergency interventions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong background in logistics operations with experience in emergency response settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English is essential.

Benefits: Competitive salary range €60,000 - €80,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience, plus additional benefits including comprehensive health insurance, pension plan, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
