About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join our team at ING. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and scalability of our cloud-based platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement SRE Practices: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement SRE practices that ensure the reliability and scalability of our cloud-based platform.
  • Monitor and Analyze System Performance: Use monitoring and observability tools to detect and analyze system performance issues, and develop solutions to prevent or mitigate these issues.
  • Collaborate with Development Teams: Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures.
  • Improve Service Reliability: Use blameless post-incident reviews and code to prevent or respond to problem reoccurrence.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Trends: Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in SRE and cloud management.

Requirements:

  • Strong Understanding of System Design Principles: Deep knowledge of system design principles, distributed systems, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Monitoring and Observability Tools: Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Datadog, AppDynamics, and New Relic.
  • Cloud Computing and Container Orchestration: Knowledge of cloud computing and container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes and OpenShift.
  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Go.
  • Version Control Tools: Experience with version control tools such as Git.
